BIG & HEAVY – DE GROTE NEDERLANDSE KUNSTKALENDER

The first Grote Rotterdamse Kunstkalender was initiated by the Rineke Kraaij in collaboration with Trichis Publishers in 2014. Today, there are various editions, ranging from local calendars tot the big national one. This huge, 30 x 34 cm (11 x 13 inch) daily calendar provides contemporary established and up-and-coming illustrators, graphic designers, writers, fashion designers, photographers and architects a platform to display their work. This art-a-day calendar is a great must-have for art-lovers but also a beautiful way to introduce yourself to all the talent harbored within the borders of the Netherlands.

The calendar is being financed through crowdfunding by sponsorships and individual donations. For EUR 250,- per day companies and philanthropists can each adopt one or multiple days of the calendar. ARTTENDERS CHIEF EDITORS 2018

At Arttenders we love to be inspired by art each day. Each day our international selection can already be found on our Instagram account. Needless to say, the Grote Nederlandse Kunstkalender is an essential part of the Arttenders’ office. It is therefore with great pleasure that Faye Ellen and Siobhan Burger accepted the roll of being chief-editors for the Grote Nederlande Kunstkalender 2018 (to be published in the final quarter of 2017). Faye and Siobhan have put together an editorial team of experts and knowledgeable individuals are essential for the creation of this calendar. The Grote Nederlandse Kunstkalender is becoming a great resource for many to learn more about the art scene in the Netherlands. Arttenders is therefore very honored to have been asked to head the selection of the 365 artists that will illustrate the 2018 edition.
