After months of hard work, SYMPOIESIS is actually After months of hard work, SYMPOIESIS is actually in the making! With this mockup panel, the construction works have started on our project for Floriade Expo 2022 and Almeres new urban district of Almere. Together with MVRDV and Alex Verhaest, we designed an enormous artwork for the central tower of the festival.⁠ ⁠ The road to this result was not always easy and many stakeholders were involved in the realization of the façade. Each puzzle starts by laying the first piece.⁠ ⁠ Siobhan checked out the mockup panel of Sympoiesis on the construction site of Flores in Almere. ⁠ ⁠ The material and process used are quite unique, as each piece of the Sympoiesis-puzzle consists of two glass plates with the print in between. ⁠ ⁠ We could have never realized this exceptional and technical production without the help (and mental support) of our partners Sorba, Michiel van Ieperen and Studio Online. Time for another exciting preview!⁠ ⁠ Our @sio Time for another exciting preview!⁠ ⁠ Our @siobhanburger paid a visit to the construction site of Flores to check out the first mockup of SYMPOIESIS, the artwork we designed together with MVRDV and Alex Verhaest. ⁠ The artwork is made of glass panels to be fixed on the façade, bringing to life a gigantic flowery nature landscape.⁠ ⁠ In case you forgot: SYMPOIESIS will cover the 40-meter-high façade of Flores, the central tower that is about to be overlooking the festival. It goes without saying that, from the start, we wished to cherish the unique combination of art and architecture in the building that houses @jeugdtheaterhofplein⁠ ⁠ Karel Appel's striking glass-in-concrete sculpture contrasts with the sleek lines of Maaskant's architecture.
