Art at Work Project
CIC X Arttenders
After the huge success of the first art installations throughout the office spaces of CIC Rotterdam we are now ready for the next phase of development! We will collaborate again to install at least three new cool site specific interventions! Stay tuned! Art at Work Project.
Many start up hubs are inspired by the interiors of creative giants such as Google, Facebook and Uber. However, CIC wanted to do something just as inspiring, but different and with a unique identity. This mission fits Arttenders like a glove. Using applied artworks from different artists, we are now creating a series of inspiring immersive artworks for their communal office spaces in the Groot Handelsgebouw in Rotterdam.
About the Art at Work Project
The Art at Work Project consists of a series of creative spaces in the CIC offices in Rotterdam. These spaces are costumized by various artists in collaboration with Arttenders through different forms of applied arts. This creates immersive and inspirational rooms, where entrepreneurs can meet, be inspired, work and socialize.
In the first phase artists Iwan Smit, Sigrid Calon, Rotganzen, Studio Maky, Roel van Eekelen and Luuk Bode designed brand enhancing interventions throughout the Groot Handelsgebouw in Rotterdam. Find more images and share your experience on social media using #cicxarttenders and #artatworkproject

CIC’s mission is to change the world through innovation by developing ecosystems that allow exceptional entrepreneurs to create new products and companies better and faster. They do this by providing infrastructure (high quality, flexible office space) and by actively building startup communities in the premium locations of future-focused cities.
CIC was founded in 1999 in Kendall Square (Cambridge, Massachusetts). CIC companies come from a wide variety of industries, and while our community is composed primarily of startups, it also includes larger companies, investors, and service providers.
CIC now has centers of world-changing innovators in Cambridge, Boston, St. Louis, Rotterdam, and Miami, and is expanding to even more cities soon.
The Art at Work Project in Rotterdam is made possible in collaboration with Kraaijvanger Architects and Design Brokers.
