Sneak Peek: Urban Jungle at CIC Rotterdam by Studio Spass

internNews

Our observant readers may remember the last news update on CIC X Arttenders Art at Work Project: we announced Studio Spass as winner of the pitch for an ‘Urban Jungle’ living room concept for the CIC office spaces. Today we are happy to give you a small sneak peek of the actual work in production!

A Jungle Without Leaves

For this stunning and colorful design Studio Spass came up with a unique interpretation of the ‘Urban Jungle’ that CIC Rotterdam asked for. Breaking with the usual association of flora and fauna, the artists are transforming the space into an abstract garden. Their inspiration came from an infamous quote from landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx:

A garden is a complex of aesthetic and plastic intentions; and the plant is, to a landscape artist, not only a plant – rare, unusual, ordinary or doomed to disappearance – but it is also a color, a shape, a volume or an arabesque in itself.”

Putting the accent on the organic shapes of sculptures and bold colors, all elements work together. They create aesthetic and harmonic compositions within the space. The functionality and imagination of this space will produce an inspiring environment for entrepreneurs and their visitors.

The space will be opened during Venture Cafe on March 15 2018.
