Earlier this year, we announced that Arttenders has developed the concept and strategy for The Shape of Rotterdam, a project in collaboration with Rotterdam. Make it happen and the municipality of Rotterdam. We came up with an extensive integral approach where location-specific needs and municipal policy objectives will merge in urban designs that are both functional and playful.

Today we can happily announce that we are researching the first two locations where impressive shapes will arise in the near future. We won’t reveal the locaties just yet, but we will make sure you won’t miss the big news once it is out!

Local stories are the pillar of communal pride. That’s why we will get to know the residents of these neighborhoods and team up with them. Together with Rotterdam artists and creative entrepreneurs, site-specific problems and wishes will be tackled and cast in designs that are one of a kind. 

With these goals in mind, the neighborhood focused research starts any time soon. Next to that, a series of Call for Interests is going to be launched to scout Rotterdam talent for the design and implementation of the resulting playscapes: The Shape(s) Of Rotterdam!
